New Years Eve Accident

On December 31st, 2004, at 18:39 hours engine 11 and rescue 11 wee dispatched to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Ridge Rd. and Regency Park Blvd. At 18:41 hours rescue 14 and battalion chief 1 were dispatched for an updated report of 4 vehicles with heavy damage. Capitan 11 advised dispatch that there was one patient trapped inside a vehicle and extrication was needed along with another rescue. engine 29 and rescue 21 were dispatched at 18:46 hours to assist with patient care and extrication. Capitan 11 established command and had the sheriffs department shut down the entire eastbound lanes of Ridge Road. Rescue 19A was dispatched at 18:52 for another patient. Command requested a helicopter for the trapped patient. At 1:58 Engine 19 was dispatched to establish the helicopters landing zone. One patient was air lifted to a trauma center and 4 patients went to a local hospital via ambulance. E29, E11, E19 and R21 cleared the scene at 19:22 hours.
